ORIENTACIÓN - TRAINING 1/28

Have you wanted to learn more about how YOU can participate in DMSC's work? Do you want to provide direct support to those affected by harsh immigration policies but don't know where to begin? Here's your chance to get involved! This orientation and training is open to anyone wants to volunteer in our efforts to provide direct support to incarcerated migrants in our region! Attendees will learn about and have the chance to sign up for the following action areas: --Guerrilla translation project (especially looking for translators in French, Portuguese, and Spanish!) --Detainee visitation, documentation, and case publicity --Family support --Solidarity fundraising and fund distribution (telephone fees, immigration bonds, commissary accounts) --Securing legal help
